bloody hell! if this is actually a rediscovered film, then i am totally speechless. let's hope this really is not your regular essenay approach to recycling what was found on the cutting room floor at the end of each day!!!!!

Wow - who could have guessed? I've gotten a few bagains on Ebay, but golly....

I hope they put it out there soon; I can't wait to see it!

I have a feeling it probably is another thing pieced together by Essanay, but even if that is what it turns out to be, it would be interesting to see.

Here's a bit of an update. If it does turn out the Chaplin footage is outtakes from the films mentioned, I think we'd all like to see them.

Here is some other info. And I know that pictures 1 and 6 are from one of the Keystones (the one where he is reading the Police Gazette at the beginning, so it is not only bits from Essanays (for example, The Tramp, which you can see in picture #4.).
